Subcooled to -7°C, Flake Ice is dry to the touch. One of the many qualities that makes it ideal for inclusion in processes. In fact, our machines do not require salt tablets or dosing.
Flake ice machines are very popular in bakeries, meat and poultry processing and for hydrocooling fruits and vegetables, Flake Ice is an extremely efficient product cooler. Used in the meat industry, Flake Ice is gentler on blades and mixing equipment compared to Chipped Ice. In the baking industry, Flake Ice is preferred over Chipped Ice as it is colder, does its job more effectively and leaves no residue.
Flat and thin, produced between 1.5mm and 2mm thick, Flake Ice releases its cooling energy quickly. When stored at subzero temperatures, Flake Ice can be preserved for long periods of time. (Ideal for campaigns or busy periods).
Dolav and Tote (Euro) tank racks are available for all our industrial Flake Ice machines. Sensors, both level and position, make our systems simple and efficient. All Ice Systems machines are certified with the United Kingdom declaration of conformity.
All our ice machines have an HMI screen installed as standard, which has a dedicated built-in hygiene program, this function internally rinses, cleans and disinfects all components in contact with water. There is also a built-in 24/7 timer program, ideal for staying ahead of ice production requirements.
Our Flake Ice machines are industrial and easy to use. Ice Systems delivers, commissions and offers full training at all facilities. All machines come with a power point based user manual.
All new ice machines supplied by Ice Systems Ltd come with a 24 month warranty*. Additionally, we also offer a fixed price service, with 2 service levels available.
